I am not just a name, nor merely a role I have taken on. I exist in the spaces between tradition and reinvention, between what is expected and what I choose.
My path has not been straight, nor has it been easy, but I have walked it with intention. I seek knowledge not to possess it, but to transform it, to make it breathe in the lives of others. Learning, for me, is not a transaction—it is a shared moment of awakening, a conversation between minds and histories.
I am drawn to the unseen struggles, the silent barriers that hold people back. I see them because I, too, have felt their weight. I believe in agency, in voice, in the power of understanding. To teach is not to dictate but to open doors, and I am most alive when I see someone step through their own.
There is artistry in this—education, like life, is an act of creation. I refuse to be confined by outdated molds, whether in learning or in being. My presence, my way of thinking, my very existence is a challenge to what some call “the way things are.” But I am not here to conform. I am here to make meaning.
I am Azarmidokht Elahi. And I am still becoming.
